Overdrive is a free and easy to use service that gives you access to thousands of Ebooks and Audiobooks, all with no late fees! All students and faculty in the Schenectady City School District have access to Overdrive!
If you have a public library card, you may also add the library to your account, giving you access to even more books to read and to listen to! Be sure to check out how to add the Schenectady Public Library Overdrive to your account.
- Add OverDrive app to your device. Apps are available for iOS, Android, Windows, and more, or you can check out the website!
- Students may not have to create an account to sign in if you select the "Under 13 Years of Age" option. You may also create an Overdrive account, which allows you to add multiple libraries to borrow titles from.
- Add a library by selecting "Schenectady City Schools" and the Capital Region BOCES option, and "Schenectady City School District"
- Students may use their library card number to access titles, which is the letter S followed by your lunch number. For example, S12345
• Faculty may use the letter F followed by your employee number - Browse and borrow books from anywhere from any of your devices. When the title is due back, it is automatically returned
