Schenectady County Public Library Summer Reading |
Register with the SCPL sysyem, no library card required:
Goal is to complete 20 challenges over the course of the summer. The challenges are split between time spent reading and activities. 10 of them are spend 1 hour reading. 10 of them are complete activities like learning song lyrics, writing a haiku, going on a neighborhood walk, etc. We will be pulling weekly winners starting the week of June 21 and any kids who complete one of the 20 badge requirements is entered to win a prize. Reach the goal of completing 20 challenges and you're entered to win grand prizes. More information |

2020 Teen Video Challenge
The Teen Video Challenge is an annual video contest hosted by CSLP. It’s open to all teens across the country. The challenge is for teens to create a public services announcement-type video that shows their unique interpretation of the 2020 Summer Reading slogan “Imagine Your Story.” Video submissions will be accepted June 1 through August 7, 2020. Five national winners will be chosen. Each winning submission will receive a $200 cash prize and $50 worth of summer reading materials for their library. |
